Hello all! First off, I’d like to thank every single person who donated. You all are amazing! I was so nervous that I wouldn’t meet the first deadline and that I would miss boot camp. But you all answered my prayers and I thank you for that.

Now, let’s get to the point of this post, boot camp was amazing! I loved every second of it! My expectations were blown out of the water by everything that happened. From the people I met and bonded with to the worship services, these were the best four days of my life! I would go so far as to say that these four days were almost better than the week I spent in the Dominican Republic.

My favorite part was easily the worship services. I was so moved by the Holy Spirit during worship time that I found myself singing and raising my hands in praise, never in my entire life have I done this before and I felt right at home doing it.

Another huge thing that stood out to me was how God can bring people together. Everyone was there for a reason, everyone who signed up for this trip signed up for a reason, it wasn’t by coincidence or luck that we were all there together acting like we’ve known each other our whole lives when a lot of us only just met, it’s what God planned. He planned for us to come together as one big family to serve him regardless of anything any of us have ever done in our lives.

Even though I was with everyone for only four days, I felt closer to them than anyone else I’ve ever known. I’ve never had anyone like this in my life. I haven’t had the best experiences with friends. I’ve had some pretty bad experiences actually. So meeting all these people, bonding with them, and being their friend after only four days shows me how good God is.

I am counting down the days until launch and want nothing more right now than to be with everyone, serving our Lord and Savior. Again I thank everyone who has donated and prayed for me. If you could continue to pray for me I’d really appreciate it.

Caleb.

“For if we have been united with him is a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin – because anyone who has died has been set free from sin” Romans 6:5-7.
